Labs

The old world is dying, the new world is yet to be born; must now be the time of monsters?

No. Now is the time for brave minds.

ATLA Labs - An immersive lab where bold ideas become shared futures.

ATLA Labs offers an intensive workshop that helps communities create immersive simulations of the future they want.

By “community,” we mean any group with a shared stake: a neighbourhood, project, team, or organisation.

This is for you if you are:

  1. An NGO, foundation, municipality, or purpose-driven company.

  2. A team leader, programme director, or project coordinator.

Do you want to rekindle hope and imagination in a place or team that’s lost momentum?

Do you need to bring big ideas to life for your community, project, or organisation?

Do you need to align and energise your team or stakeholders?

ATLA Labs

ATLA Labs challenges the mindset that the future happens to us. It sparks movements that reshape the trajectory of communities and becomes a birthplace of hope, grounded in tangible steps towards a new way of living.

“The ATLA Labs workshop was truly transformative for our Argonauts gathering.”

"It opened up new questions and possibilities, blending imagination with tangible insight. The facilitation brought both depth and spontaneity, helping awaken our creativity as a community."

Loes Fokker
Co-Founder of The Argonauts

“It unlocked imagination we didn’t know we had.”

"At first, we tried to engineer the future logically, then realised we had to let go of the ‘how’. Once we did, imagination took over. The process felt both serious and freeing, and the results, though fantastical, carried deep truth."

Brendan Lynch
Founder and CEO of aquaBUBBLER Drinking Fountains

“We created something real, fast.”

"Even with little time, we built a shared idea that surprised us. The guidance helped us shift from abstract discussion to tangible creation, conversations became artefacts, and artefacts became insight."

Dariusz Rink
Head of Partner Success at ANIXE

“I found the experience was very uniting.”

"I felt a deep sense of connection and creativity throughout. The exercises opened gateways of expression and meaningful exchange with others."

Lauren Cahill
Supply Chain Consultant

“We are all in need of compelling futures because when we can see them, we can create them.”

"The biggest game changer was realising that an ordinary item of the future contains enough information for the whole. You don’t have to design the entire future, understanding how I’ll order my coffee can hold the pattern of a new world."

Krzysztof Karolczak
CEO of The Argonauts

“It showed how imagination and play can reveal deeper organisational truths.”

"Our discussion about culture and leadership transformed into a spontaneous performance, a tea ceremony as a new kind of board meeting."

Henrik Adam
Quality & Environmental Manager at Plastix AS

“Thinking from the future changed everything.”

"Stepping into the future, rather than building towards it, freed us from old limits. It’s not easy to bring everyone into that mindset, but once there, it’s powerful."

ATLA Labs

In a world facing climate crisis, systemic inequality, and deep uncertainty, ATLA Labs offers not escape, but encounter. It brings people together to prototype active, plural futures rooted in local knowledge and shared purpose.

How it Works

Visioning & Discovery

Participants begin by sharing bold visions of the future, moving beyond the limits of “what’s always been done.” Themes emerge, teams form, and imagination expands into possibilities that feel both daring and worth building.

Coaching & Reflection

Expert facilitators and mentors guide teams to uncover blind spots, question assumptions, and strengthen trust. This stage creates emotional alignment, ensuring people connect not only to the project but to each other.

Prototyping & Sharing

Ideas are translated into tangible objects found in the future. Participants simulate these through models, film, illustration, VR simulations, and more to make the future visible. These prototypes become powerful tools for sparking dialogue, influencing strategy, and inspiring aligned action.

By the end, futures are not just imagined, they’re built, shared, and ready to influence today’s decisions.
